About Aviation Exploring Post #731 and Venturing/Exploring

Aviation Exploring Post #731 is a program that is designed to introduce youth the many possible careers that are available in aviation. Post #731 has taken tours of the Tower at Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport, Landmark Aviation, Flight Safety International in St. Louis, the National Weather Service station in Lincoln, IL and The National Museum of the United States Air Force in Dayton, Ohio.
We have also worked as volunteers at Springfield Air Rendezvous staffing the children's area and Air Venture in Oshkosh, WI.

Venturing offers a program that is fun and full of challenge and adventure for young men and women who are 14 (and have completed the eighth grade) through 20 years of age. The purpose of Venturing is to provide positive experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. Exploring is a worksite-based program. It is a career education program for young men and women who are 14 (and have completed the eighth grade) through 20 years old. Programs are based on five areas of emphasis: career opportunities, life skills, service learning, character education, and leadership experience.
